I don't have much to say about the Virginia Tech tragedy that hasn't already been said by someone else. I also very much agree with Grunt Doc that we need to focus on the victims rather than focus on the perpetrator.
The New York Times has started a list of profiles of the victims.
Read it. Remember how they lived.

They had an excellent article about Liviu Librescu, the professor who blocked the door, in Express this morning. Coincidentally, he had also worked with CRDF. Now there's a hero-he gave his life to give the students a chance to escape.
His story really stood out for me--I almost singled him out in the posting, but I didn't want to imply that the other victims were in some way less than he was.
