A lovely morning stroll

Matter-Eater Lad is in Chicago at a conference with our one-and-only car , so I have had to walk to and from the Light Rail station these past couple of days. It is less than a mile, and a very pretty walk overall. Here are some pictures from my phone (I can't download camera pix at work):

The image quality is iffy, but you can see that it is quite scenic. That's all I have for today.

Although, if one met with a pack of wild nuns on the way to the light rail, one might not survive to take pictures of the lovely landscape-I cite dad's near 'suicide' in Rome. (Holy Sh@t!)

Ah, I keep coming back to this just for the juxtaposition of "nuns" and "holy sh@t!"

Classic. . .

No, no, no. Note the caps: Holy Sh@t. It definitely goes with nuns.

Dude-I was referring to the time when dad walked into a particularly impressive church in Rome, almost involuntarily said Holy Sh@t, and then realized there were about 1000 nuns...who then all turned and gave him the biggest collective evil eye ever.

Sigh...reference lost.
